Imagine the alternative version of an American party, two best friends, one grew up in Salt Lake City and the one fled from Thailand.

 

The two girls rolled down their windows and let down their hair. They turned up the radio’s volume dial while singing at the top of their lungs to the latest hits on the music chart.

 

Alyssa is the girl who grew up in the States and she continues to think of  her Thai friend.

 

It was the creation of friendship, the unity of different people, and the depth of meaningful relationships that set the tone for Alyssa’s future service for volunteers.
